500 farmers’ rice crop damaged in UC Dubi near Badin via floods 2024
Lower Sindh already poor and in past 2010 floods hit hard and in 14 years water shortage and rain and floods hit this area badly, small farmers economic situation badly affected due to heavy rain and floods in August 2024 in UN Dubi and Khorwah of District Badin
AHD visited some 4 UC and estimate 30,000 families affected by fresh floods 2024 and their houses and crops damaged fully and no they don’t have anything to survive
AHD team working on smart agriculture and to save flood water whatever in their lands and needs to pit /dig small ponds and for these purposes farmers ready to do just needs some support
We hope to reach these 500 farmers with awareness and solutions to use rain wate for their crops and vegetables
