The Challenge

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the country has faced unimaginable devastation. This is the largest military attack in Europe since the Second World War, leaving millions displaced, countless homes destroyed, and infrastructure crippled. Cities like Mariupol, Dnipro, and Charkiv are in ruins, and families are fleeing to safer regions in the west.

During bomb attacks, many areas are left without electricity, water, or heat. People are struggling to survive in harsh conditions. The Pallottine fathers in Kyiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr, and Lviv have stepped in to shelter families, but the need is overwhelming. The immediate requirements include food, water, hygiene products, power generators, and oil-powered equipment. Additionally, as more families lose their homes, the demand for safe shelter has skyrocketed.

Our Solution

The Pallottine parishes in Ukraine are working tirelessly to address these needs:

• Sheltering Families: Adapting parish offices, meeting rooms, and any available space into living quarters for displaced families.
• Providing Essentials: Distributing food, water, and hygiene products to ensure basic survival.
• Power and Heating: Supplying power generators and oil-powered equipment to combat the frequent loss of electricity.
• Medical Support: Establishing medical hubs to care for injured soldiers and civilians.

By creating safe and warm spaces for families and providing critical resources, we aim to protect Ukrainians from homelessness and support them during this unimaginable crisis.

Dear Friend, the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine has forced thousands of families to flee their homes in search of safety. Many have sought refuge in neighboring regions, leaving behind their possessions and livelihoods. These refugees are facing immense challenges, including a lack of shelter, food, clothing, and access to basic necessities. Our project, "Help Refugees from Eastern Ukraine," was established to provide direct support to these displaced families in their time of need.  Project Goals The primary goal of this project was to ensure that refugees from Eastern Ukraine receive immediate humanitarian aid to address their most urgent needs. Specifically, the funds raised have been used to provide: - Food supplies to ensure families have enough to eat. - Temporary shelter and housing assistance for those who have been displaced. - Warm clothing and blankets, especially for the upcoming winter months. - Medical supplies and hygiene products to help prevent the spread of illness. - Psychological support and counseling for families dealing with trauma. - Educational support to ensure children continue learning despite being displaced. 

Thanks to the generous donations from supporters like you, we have been able to make a real difference in the lives of refugees from Eastern Ukraine. So far, the project has provided: - Over 200 families with food packages, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals. - Temporary housing solutions for 150 displaced individuals, providing them with a safe and secure place to stay. - Warm clothing, blankets, and hygiene kits to more than 300 refugees, helping them maintain their health and dignity. - Psychological support sessions for families and children who have been deeply affected by the trauma of displacement. The impact of this support cannot be overstated. Families who have lost everything now have a sense of security, and children who were previously unable to attend school are receiving the education they deserve. Your donations have helped bring comfort and hope to those enduring one of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Looking Forward As the situation in Eastern Ukraine remains uncertain, there is still much work to be done. We will continue to provide ongoing support to the refugees, adapting our efforts to meet their evolving needs. The funds raised will be used to ensure that no family is left without access to food, shelter, medical care, or education.
