Hi everyone,
I am so excited to bring you this update! Since our last report in November, the energy around our Ocean in Motion project has been absolutely electric. Thanks to your incredible support over the last three months, we are officially turning the tide for students who otherwise might never have seen the magic of the reef up close.
What we’ve been up to: The wheels are turning! The biggest barrier for our local schools isn't a lack of interest—it’s simply the cost of getting to the water. Because of your recent donations, we have been able to provide consistent, reliable transport for school groups across the region.
Here is the best part: because of our amazing partnership with the Aquarium, every single student we transport gets free entry! This means every dollar you give goes directly toward the logistics of getting these kids out of the classroom and standing face-to-face with sharks, rays, and rescued sea turtles.
The impact of the last 3 months Since December, we’ve successfully transported hundreds of children who are now officially our newest "Ocean Ambassadors." These aren't just field trips; for many, it’s a life-changing spark. They aren't just looking at fish; they are learning about plastic pollution, marine ecosystems, and why their voices matter in protecting our coastline. Seeing a child’s eyes go wide when they touch a sea star for the first time is a reminder of exactly why we do this.
Where we are going Our goal for the next quarter is to double our reach. We have a waiting list of schools eager to participate, and we are determined to make sure no child is left behind just because they lack a bus ride. We are also expanding our "on-board" education, so the learning starts the second they step onto the bus and continues until they get home.
A massive chance to double your ripples! We have a huge date for you to save: March 17th – March 20th. GlobalGiving is hosting their Little by Little campaign, and it is the perfect time to help us fuel the buses. During these four days, any donation you make up to $50 will be 50% matched! That means:
Your $10 becomes $15
Your $50 becomes $75
These matching funds are limited and run out fast, so please mark your calendars to jump in early. Every bit helps us fill those seats and get more future conservationists to the shore.
Thank you for being the wind in our sails (and the fuel in our tanks!). We couldn't do this without you.
With vitamin-sea and gratitude,
