Elena grew up with rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that over the years led her to rely on a cane and walk with difficulty. Even so, she has never stopped fighting for her greatest treasure: her daughter Lupita, who is now in second grade.
Because of her disability, maintaining steady work is difficult for Elena, and ensuring nutritious meals for Lupita was a daily challenge. Everything changed when they joined Fundación Sarahuaro’s “Children’s Kitchen” program.
Today, Lupita receives healthy meals that help her learn and grow with energy, while Elena lives with the peace of knowing her daughter is cared for and well nourished.
“My daughter eats well, and that gives me strength,” Elena shares with a hopeful smile.
Thanks to the support of Fundación Sarahuaro and those who believe in this project, Elena and Lupita continue moving forward, step by step, toward a better future.
