Hello Friends and Family,

It's our first report of 2024! We hope you are all doing well. Did you know that our scholarship program is one of the hardest to fund for?We see that many people love to donate to a meal for a hungry child or purchase books for a local primary school. While these donations are very amazing and important we feel scholarships are just as important and can actually build a longer term sustainable way to fight all global issues we currently face.

One of the main ways in which scholarships help fund future leaders is by breaking the cycle of poverty. Many individuals from underprivileged backgrounds are unable to pursue higher education due to financial constraints, despite having the potential and the drive to succeed. Scholarships provide them with the financial means to attend college or university, or even just go on a skills training program where they can acquire the necessary qualifications and skills to secure roles in where they can infuence and lead change within their own community. This not only benefits the individual but also their families and communities, as they can contribute to the economic growth and development of their societies.

Moreover, scholarships also play a crucial role in addressing issues of hunger and food insecurity. Many individuals from impoverished backgrounds struggle to meet their basic needs, including access to nutritious food. By providing them with scholarships, these individuals can focus on their studies without having to worry about where their next meal will come from. Additionally, scholarships can also support students in pursuing degrees in fields such as agriculture and nutrition, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to address food insecurity in their communities and beyond.

In Laos most of our scholarships help rural students come along to local English Language centres to learn English as it is not a core subject at school, however it is an essential criteria to get a career or even a basic job in the cities. Even a car mechanic needs English to be able to get a job. With this in mind we see it critical to provide scholarships for work ready young people that are looking to move to the city for work so that they can learn english and break this barrier down to access employment. Funding these dedicated individuals helps them grow their career and they support their families back home.

In 2024 many scholarships have been offered to different people around the world and they are so empowered and motivated for their future so we don't want to stop now, let's help even more individuals this year

Thank You,

Tyrone
