Friends,
Many of you may have heard of some political instability recently in Peru. While the situation remains unresolved, our projects, our staff, and our farmers continue to fight for the improved livelihoods of Campesino communities in the high-elevations of Peru.
With the rainy season starting, the dry yellow color of the mountains surrounding the communities starts to green, and farmers are able to improve their production without much help from external irrigation. The onset of the rainy season also means warmer overnight temperatures, making this the most productive time of year for all of our greenhouse projects.
It also means the highest incidence of pests and plagues and the greatest need for support from patrons like yourselves. The Andean Alliance remains commited to provide the highest quality support, materials, and information possible to maximize our impact in the communities. We are deeply grateful to all of you who donate to our projects, and we hope we can count on your support for the future.
Please, share this project with as many people as you can and help us continue to fight the good fight here in Cusco!
Saludos,
The AASD
