Dear Supporters & Donors
The TRUE COLOURS Project remains dedicated to nurturing young minds through art therapy and creative expression. Inspired by the legacy of Adesewa, this program provides a vital sanctuary for teenagers to find respite from life's challenges and discover their inherent potential. While this quarter presented significant funding hurdles, our commitment to individual impact and the long-term vision of creative healing remains steadfast.
Key Achievements & Impact
Despite a lean quarter, we focused our resources where they were needed most—direct intervention for children facing specific creative barriers.
Targeted Support: We successfully provided comprehensive art materials to two children who were previously struggling to engage with creative arts. By removing the barrier of access to quality tools, we have seen a marked improvement in their confidence and willingness to express themselves.
"Let Your True Colors Shine" Exhibition: Preparations continue for our landmark exhibition. This event serves a dual purpose: honoring the artistic legacy of Adesewa and providing a professional platform for other talented teens to showcase their work to the community.
Therapeutic Respite: Our weekly sessions continue to serve as a "breathing space," allowing participants to process emotions through color, texture, and form rather than words alone.
Challenges & Operational Update
Transparency is a cornerstone of our relationship with our donors. Due to a low inflow of funds during the final quarter of 2025, we were unfortunately unable to hold the scheduled program on December 21, 2025.
While it was a difficult decision to pause this specific session, it was a necessary step to ensure that the quality of the program and the provision of materials for our current participants were not compromised. We are currently restructuring our outreach to ensure more consistent funding cycles moving forward.
Future Outlook: Keeping the Legacy Alive
Our mission for the next quarter is to bridge the funding gap and resume our full weekly schedule. The "True Colours" of our youth deserve to be seen, and with your continued support, we will ensure that financial constraints do not silence their creative voices.
Upcoming Goals:
Secure sustainable sponsorship for the monthly "Creative Nurturing" sessions.
Finalize the dates for the "Let Your True Colors Shine" gallery exhibition.
Expand our reach to support five additional children with art supply kits.
Adesewa’s legacy is not just a memory; it is a living, breathing movement found in every brushstroke of the children we serve. Thank you for standing with us during this challenging quarter. Together, we will keep the colors bright.
Sincerely,
