Dear Donors,
Greetings from Bright Kids Charity in Ukraine.
February 24 marks four years since the war began, continuing to devastate Ukrainian lives. Throughout these years, your steadfast support has enabled our grassroots charity to stand by families consistently — helping many children with disabilities access essential rehabilitation treatments time and again. What once felt impossible has become an ongoing mission: because of you, we continue to provide critical care to those who need it most across Ukraine.
In our latest round of support, thanks to your generosity, we funded rehabilitation treatments for five children — Margarita, Mark, Vladislav, Nazar, and Artem — totalling USD 4,273.
One of these children is Vladislav from eastern Ukraine. In 2016, at just four years old, he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in a car accident. After multiple complex brain surgeries and eight months in a coma, he lost all previously acquired skills. The accident left Vladislav with permanent disabilities, making him fully dependent on his mother, Alina. Since then, Alina has devoted her life to his rehabilitation. Step by step, Vlad has regained some speech, strengthened his body, and continues to make progress. When war destroyed their hometown, they were forced to flee, yet Alina continues to fight tirelessly for her son’s recovery and dignity.
Recently, it was Vladislav’s birthday. Alina asked us to share her words:
“It was Vladislav’s birthday yesterday, and I wanted to thank you for your support. Thanks to you, we have reached many milestones. Thank you.”
Witnessing Alina’s unwavering strength and devotion is deeply humbling. We are incredibly grateful to stand alongside this family — and to have you with us in giving Vladislav hope for a fuller, brighter future.
Your support is equally vital for families like Irina’s. Irina is raising her two daughters on her own. When her eldest, Margarita (7), was diagnosed with autism at age three, Irina committed herself to securing every possible opportunity for rehabilitation. With unstable alimony payments and no ability to maintain steady employment while caring for her daughters, she struggles to cover even basic needs — yet she continues to persevere for her children.
Stories like these show why your help matters. Rehabilitation, stability, and hope are not luxuries — they are lifelines. Because of you, these children have a real chance at a better future.
Thank you for standing with them.
With best wishes,
The Bright Kids Charity Team
