Thank You For Being a Burro Buddy!

We sincerely appreciate your generous support of our Burro Brigade as a Burro Buddy. Our Brigade has twelve burro members and one honorary burro, our Belgian Sunny. Don Telford recently visited the ranch and took some burro photos that were too cute not to share with our Burro Buddies! Don is a talented local photographer who generously donates his time and talent to the ranch. He has a particular fondness for our burros, which leads to some wonderful photos.

Ethel came into our care from the San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control. She arrived with Fred, of course. Fred is unusual in that he tends to have a hard time gaining and maintaining his weight. This is unusual for burros who generally gain weight easily. Ethel gains weight much to easily so she is not able to live with Fred. However, the two live right next door to each other and each lives with a group of burros. Ethel is a very friendly girl, as her name would suggest. We thought Don did a great job capturing her warm, friendly demeanor in these photos.

Sabrina, the dark burro, came to the ranch with her BFF Felina. Bart arrived with his BFF Brett. Both of these burros spend the majority of their time with their BFF's. So, we enjoyed seeing these photos of Sabrina flirting with Bart. We have to admire Sabrina's style.

Burros are highly social equines. We are so fortunate to be able to maintain two social groups of burros in adjacent areas. This allows us to meet the dietary needs of our older burros with keeping everyone close together. Your support as a Burro Buddy provides these burros with the care they need to stay happy and healthy. Thank you for your generosity!
