Goodbye to some boys and hello to new ones

Our children's home is thriving with happiness which is amazing to see. A VERY hot and wet summer this year so we're having quite a few trips to the swimming pool and visiting our favourite ice cream man on the way back. It's slightly cooler in the evening so that time is being spent playing cricket - and whenever possible, playing with all time favourite of our boys - balloons!

Recently, we managed to link 5 of our boys with their families which is the main aim of our project. We are now supporting their education and getting basic clothes and food for these boys to ensure that the families can accommodate them. Most of them have only one parent or no parents at all, and in those cases they are linked with their extended families. We are making regular visits to the boys' homes and they are coming back for visits to our home. They are all very happy to see their families again, and to continue their education. We all miss them a lot and are now making all Fridays 'reunion days' where we want all new and old boys to spend the weekends together.

We also welcomed 4 new boys from the Birgunj streets to our home. All have really sad stories to tell and have been through a lot. After being with us for over a month, they all now feel a part of a happy family and are all attending the school. They are all healthy and really enjoying spending time with their new friends, and hopefully they will soon forget the life on the streets.

We would like to help all street children in Birgunj and other areas of Nepal, so please share the information about us and this project with all your contacts. Without your help, it wouldn't have been possible to assist these children. And as always, thank you so much!
