How are the boys and our staff in Nepal getting on?

The boys in our children's home in Birgunj are all doing really well - last month we were delighted to find out they had all passed their end of term exams with flying colours :-)

At the weekends they have all been enjoying a bit of cricket and our vegetable plot is coming along nicely.

Fundraising update:

Our volunteers in the UK have been working hard fundraising at a number of local supermarkets (Co-op and Asda). In the meantime, our friends Nitin and Mina Changela have raised over £500 for the children's home through their trek to Base Camp Everest in Nepal. Whilst in Nepal, Nitin and Mina stopped by our children's home in Birgunj to meet the children and enjoyed a few games of carom board with the kids.

We still have a long way to go to raise the funds we need to cover the annual costs of the children’s home - if you are able to support us in anyway please do get in touch, we are always looking for committed volunteers for a variety of activities, even if you just fancy helping us out at one of our one-off supermarket events!

Upcoming events:

Over in the UK, the London to Brighton Bike Ride is fast approaching (7 September 2014) and we encourage any of you fitness fanatics out there to get in touch! All money raised by those who are taking part for Our Sansar will go towards the costs of our children’s home - and we really need your support with this (plus there is the added bonus of giving your muscles a real work out)!

Fancy getting involved? Find out more here, or contact our lovely Monica@oursansar.org for application details.

Alongside this we are hoping to buy the boys some second hand bikes for the summer - so they can get involved on the action too!

Finally - THANK YOU!

If it wasn’t for all of you lovely people supporting our cause, none of this would be possible....
