Dear HOPE Supporter,
Recently, we have been trying out new methods to find more patients who are suffering from burn injuries. We would like to share the most successful initiative out of our new approaches. HOPE established the HOPE Village Provider Network, which is comprised of 50 village pharmacists working in remote areas. You see, village pharmacists are among the most trusted in rural populations, even more so than doctors. What we do is recruit pharmacists into our network by providing them with education on varying issues, discounted products, discounted family health cards for their patients at any HOPE center and the right to use our logo as a HOPE Village Provider. In turn, when a patient comes to the pharmacist suffering from one of the discussed illnesses/issues the Provider was educated on, they educate the patient on the help available at HOPE and refer the patient, if they are interested. This has brought new life to our referral process and we are receving more patients that are eligible for burn surgery than ever before. Thank you for your suport of tis vuknerable patients as we continue to seek them out to offer them life-changing surgery.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh
